Classic Warlord is the Holy Grail of Wargames.
Between two and seven players gather around the map board. They use their armies to attack each other. They acquire and explode bombs. By excelling at intrigue one player achieves total domination. The game works up to an apocalyptic conclusion.
The Warlord” was originally invented and designed by Mike Hayes.
In 1974 he published the Red Box edition. In 1978 he published the Blue Box edition.
Games Workshop took it over in 1980 and released it as “Apocalypse”- a smaller version for 4 players.
Classic Warlord with revised rules and an extended board is the ultimate version of Mike Hayes’ legendary game.
